The people who make ECA feel like home.

Our directors, teachers, and support staff are dedicated Christian educators. Many are Evergreen locals, and several have been with ECA for years.

Lauren Anderson

Head of School

Lauren grew up in Evergreen and became Head of School in January 2023. All three of her boys have attended ECA, and she loves helping staff, students, and families feel like ECA is a second home.

Lisa Thoennes

Assistant Director

Lisa joined ECA in August 2023. She's gifted in child development and works closely with staff to help every student succeed. Lisa lives in Evergreen and is very involved in the community.

Ms. Kadence assisted in PreK last year and is excited to help our younger learners get ready for PreK.

Laura Billups (“Ms. LB”)

Preschool Teacher & Music

Laura taught preschool in Chicago before moving to Evergreen to raise her three children. She loves tennis, golf, yoga, concerts, and travel, and teaches music to every class on Wednesdays.

Preschool Teacher

An Evergreen local, Amy has taught at ECA since 2024. She holds a degree in Elementary Education and has homeschooled all four of her children.

Jessica French

Lead Teacher

Ms. Jess joined ECA in June 2025 and holds a degree in Elementary Education. She leads our kindergarten-readiness classroom, which blends preschool and kindergarten curriculum.

Specials & Support

Ms. Marcee

Christian Education Director

Ms. Marcee leads Christian education for our children, families, and staff, including Mornings with Jesus every Thursday. She also serves on the ECA Board of Directors, and we all adore her.

Ms. LB

Music Education

Since 2025, Ms. LB has taught weekly music to every class from infants through preschool and directs all of our performances.

Stacee Harp

Support Teacher

Stacee has been with us since April 2023 and has taught in many of our rooms. Calm and loving, she's known around ECA as our “angel on earth.”
